Summary: A small collection of images depicting aviator Charles Hamilton's bi-plane during an aviation exhibit in Tucson in 1910. All but three images show the plane on the ground or in the air. The last three images show spectators watching from cars, and an arriving train.

Charles King Hamilton was born in March 1845 in Kentucky to George Washington and Rhoda Hamilton. He fought during the Civil War, and married Margaret Sears (born in March 1848). Biographical note: George Douglas, who took these photographs, was chief engineer at Nacozari from 1900 to 1904, and inspector for Phelps Dodge from 1904 to 1905. On February 19th and 20th, 1910 aviator Charles K. Hamilton brought his bi-plane to Tucson for an aviation exhibition. The demonstration was conducted at the Elysian Grove racetrack.
